Through years 2019–2020, while working for an outsource dev company I've been part of more than a dozen of projects. One of them was a task to do the layout (HTML + CSS + basic interactions, as React components) for a new landing of DesignContest, a project where multiple designers propose their variants for a customer design task.

I wasn't given any particular directions on how the page should be animated, only that it shoud be well-animated. I think I did a pretty good job for a (as of then) junior front-end dev.

Unfortunately there's been a miscommunication in processes and it turned out that we can't actually use React, but rather should implement the new design in Backbone and jQuery. During Backbone adaptation (wasn't part of) some polish were lost so the actual landing looks quite different.

But during development I've been deploying my version to netlify for easier results validation by designer and PM, and it's still alive, so we can still check out the animations here:
